Jane Waters is a native Texan and has lived in Houston for over 38 years. She graduated from Texas A&M University and South Texas College of Law where she was a member of the Law Review. She was a prosecutor for 28 years with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office before beginning her second career in civil defense. She has worked representing insurance companies and their insureds for both inhouse and private firms. She has tried over 200 criminal and civil jury trials.  She is a member of the Houston Bar Association and The Texas State Bar. She has trained police officers, prosecutors, and judges. She was an active member of the Harris County Domestic Violence Coordinating Council and Texas Council on Family Violence.
